We're honored when clients allow us to build their homes. And nothing makes us happier than hearing that we've fulfilled - or better yet, exceeded their expectations. We've gotten many meaningful and heartfelt letters. Here's some that we received recently:

Hi Joe

I hope this finds you doing well-- I have been wanting to send you a note for the longest time (almost a year to be exact!) but the ins and outs of daily life have gotten the best of me! I figured while I have two sleeping babies I'd try to get this out to you--

Chris and I can't thank you enough for giving us such a wonderful home building experience. When we told people we were going to build they all thought we were crazy. However, after meeting you for the very first time we felt totally at ease with the process. After "shopping around" a bit, we came to the conclusion that we would be well taken care of if we chose J. Anthony homes. We are well aware of how hard you and Melissa, worked to make this possible. Your attention to detail and "can do" attitude made such a difference for us. We honestly don't have one complaint about our entire building process. That is not to say that the process was perfect, (I don't think it would be possible to build a home and have nothing go wrong) however, it was how mistakes were handled that impressed us. All it ever took was one call to Shane and our problems were handled. We always felt like we were treated like good friends, not clients; we truly appreciate your personal involvement and accessibility to us. From your office staff to the contractors you use, we never met anyone who wasn't friendly and helpful. You have managed to take a process that to most people is a major headache and make it enjoyable and exciting.

Even now that the building process is over, we still can count on Danielle and Shane to help us out with any questions or concerns we have--it means so much to know that your company treats their clients like lifelong friends, not people they want to "cut loose" as soon as the house is complete. The fact that Danielle tries to schedule our follow ups around my babies' nap schedules is nothing short of remarkable. I can't tell you how many times we've been told "call us if you have any problems now or in the future." Thank you for employing such kind, and thoughtful staff members.

We can't put into words how much we love our new home. In fact, even during the building process, it always "felt" like a home--to me that was amazing. I think that is a reflection of the care and personal attention you and your staff put into building each of your homes. We thank you for giving us a home that fits our lifestyle and our family and is a place that we love coming back to each day.

You have obviously spent a great deal of time choosing and developing the right staff who display a can-do and 100% customer satisfaction attitude. I just wanted to thank you and your crew for the great job being done on our new home. Every time I go up there to look I am amazed and pleased. Everyone of your staff that I have met - You, Melissa, Linda, Danielle, Tony, Sean, Chris & Jason have been so courteous and gracious, we feel so fortunate that we found "J. Anthony" when we did.

I was impressed when you sat at our table and explained how you managed and ran your business. I'm even more impressed as I see it happen right before my eyes. This is really so exciting. More than one person has told us we're crazy to try and build a house at our age. You are making it a great experience and I thank you immensely.

Bill and I have moved over 100 ferns up to the new property and have started what we call our "Fern Nurseries". We're going to let them take root this year and then next year we'll put them around in the woods and coming up the driveway. I envision us having a really neat place!

Thank you sincerely for the incredible work done on our recent construction. Everything was completed with precision and the result is truly beautiful and functional. We've built homes in the past. It was only during this project that we realized that on previous projects, we actually did much of the expediting ourselves. Your expeditor ran our project like a finely tuned precision machine.

Your workmanship is impeccable. All the folks that worked on our project from carpentry to electrical and drywall and finishing were professional, incredibly courteous, organized and neat. We truly couldn't ask for anything more. You have left us with a whole new set of standards and expectations for contractors in the future.

I play racquetball with a good friend with whom I've discussed many times the ups and downs of our new home construction. The end results are fabulous. I recommended J. It was about this time last year when we decided to build a home with your company. My wife and I had visited your model Fieldcrest III numerous times in Pewaukee and with the help of Pete Kuske we were in hot pursuit of a lot. When we purchased a lot in Hartland, we were pleasantly surprised that you came to meet with us and look at the lot. The fact that you would take such a personal interest in our new home construction was impressive.

At our pre-dig meeting we met our expediter, Shane Fleischman. He took us through the final decisions we needed to make, and he made it quite clear that he wanted us to be happy with the final product. He gave us a clear idea of the early stages of construction and shared his cell phone number with us. How exciting to see the hole in the ground just a few weeks later.

Now we have been in our home for four months. We love it! The building process was exciting and satisfying. We can't say enough about how Shane shepherded us through the process and answered our many questions. His patience and good humor went a long way toward helping us to understand and enjoy the months of construction. The subcontractors on the job site were friendly and willing to answer our questions, as well.

What we appreciate most, however, is the excellent quality home that all of you had a hand in building for us. We have proudly told our friends and family who complement us on our new house that was built by J. Anthony Homes. When it was time for the final walk-through you again surprised us by coming with Shane to make sure our new home was completed to our satisfaction. In the ensuing months your company has done excellent warranty work, and we continue to be grateful for the way all the members of your organization have treated us.

I'm writing this letter to thank you and your company for their efforts in building our house. Linda and I have owned several houses but never entertained the idea of building a house. As a matter of fact we used to joke about our friends who built homes. They would lament about this problem or that builder. We never ever thought that we would ever build a house. First we are too fussy about most everything and like a lot of people we didn't want to go through the problems of building. (We want it now) The strangest observation we had was how over time our friends became almost adversarial with their builder. A simple love/hate relationship, we simply did not want to play.

Well we met you and we talked about the old house on the lake and what we thought might be the best things to do with the property. I wanted to remodel it, Linda wanted to leave it alone and you said we should build!!!

To make a long story short, we began the scary process known as building. Your company J. Anthony Builders made this process as easy and as much fun as possible. We had to balance our wants (which are many) with the rules (I hate those) of the city. We also expected to be the only house that you were building at the time. (Nothing unusual) The people of your company must share your vision of customer satisfaction. Also the subcontractors used reviled knowledge and attitudes I have never been accustomed to while watching others go through the process of building.

In short, the custom house that your company completed for us is truly more than we expected. (No I'm not related) The features and benefits of our new house are endless. The house we wished for became a reality because of Joe, Keith, Therese, Mike and all the other employees of your company; who always had time for our persistent questions.

It's been about 3 weeks since we moved into our fabulous new home, and I have to say we love it. At our first meeting you explained how you build a "Quality House" and I don't think we realized what that meant, until the house was completely done. No detail was overlooked and it shows now that the house is done. We really are grateful that we chose J. Anthony to build our home, every step of the building process went smoothly and all of our concerns were handled in a timely and professional way.

Going into the whole process we were apprehensive, as I am sure most people would be but along the way you seemed to turn that apprehension into excitement. The fact that we chose to build a complete custom home that no one had built before was also a concern, but with your knowledge and taking a cue from some of your suggestions our home turned out better that we had ever dreamed.

Every, and I mean EVERY sub-contractor that worked on our home did an outstanding job and we could not be happier with their work. They were all polite and a joy to work with, and were great at making suggestion's along the way. They were also receptive to any changes that we made and as you know there were a lot of little changes that were made. I am sure your well aware of this and have heard it before but your support staff is a wonderful group of people to work with.

Karen, Jeff and Craig did a remarkable job of putting us at ease and handling all of our concerns and questions. They are all very knowledgeable and resourceful and went that extra step for us, for which we cannot thank them enough!! You definitely have our sincerest thanks and we will be recommending you to all of our friends in the future. You do a really good job of treating your customers not like a number but like a friend and in this day and age that is a rare find. Keep up the great work and don't change a thing!!
